This week started as a nightmare for Zach & Anna as they had to make the call on their wedding that they’ve been planning for well over a year. No one could have predicted this just a few short weeks ago. Our country has been thrown into a tailspin and bride’s everywhere are being put in such a terrible position. Do they keep their wedding, limit guest count and potentially infect many people of COVID-19? Or, do they postpone/cancel their wedding, potentially losing thousands of dollars on vendors and pushing back their wedding dreams? I don’t envy any couples with weddings in Spring or Summer 2020. To be honest, I also feel awful for any newly engaged couples because many of rescheduled weddings are taking dates they would otherwise have available. Further, vendors are slow to respond as this pandemic is still so new and fluid.
Anna & Zach made the call to postpone their wedding on Monday and also happened to get into a car accident in the same day! After the hump of anxiety and sadness, they came to the realization that they still needed to be legally married on their original wedding date of March 21, 2020. Their wedding planner, Candace with Erin Padgett Events, came to the rescue and suggested to use their original venue of Anne Close Springs Greenway to have an elopement ceremony. The floral arrangements from Weddings With Barbara were already in and gorgeous. Candace went above and beyond to stylize the fireplace for the wedding ceremony.
Anna & Zach have an adorable dog named Pepper who joined them at their engagement session. Since it would be just the two of them at their ceremony, they decided it would be the perfect time to incorporate Pepper into their big day.
For all of the other couples out their with weddings affected by the Corona Virus, there is an answer. You can still have it all! All you need is the bride and groom, beautiful florals, some cake to celebrate a little bubbly to wash it all down. Together, Candace with EPE and Amanda with HOH are here to make your wedding dreams a reality. If you are considering eloping during this uncertain time, reach out to us!
If you are a rule follower and know how important it is to stay in small groups while maintaining social distancing right now, we have an answer! Zach & Anna used Zoom to have their families be a part of their special moment. They didn’t miss a thing!
It isn’t official without a little cake and a little champs. Don’t worry, we had both!
We are all feeling a little shut in and stir crazy right now so enjoying the outdoors and taking advantage of the beautiful weather yesterday was such a win. Anne Close Springs Greenway is beginning to blooms with beautiful shades of purples and pinks.
Best part, it’s pet friendly!
Okay, for real though, the best part is the peach blossoms. They will be in full bloom in another week or two.
Besides the bride and groom, honest vows, beautiful flowers, an awesome officiant, fun photos, tasty cake and some bubbly, what else makes for the perfect wedding elopement? A first dance of course! Thank you so much Anna & Zach for having Head Over Heels Wedding Photography there for this special moment. We can’t wait to see you in August for your big ceremony at the Dairy Barn!
