If you have been following HOH for any length of time you have met my family but if you are new, let me introduce you to my dad! He’s pretty amazing! He is a retired Colonel in the USAF. I’m so proud of not only his character but also his actions. If you have a fabulous dad like I do, you will want to make sure you get him the VERY best gift for Father’s Day. Listen up, I’ve had a lot of free time so I’m going to give you 3 options which just may save you a whole lot of time and energy hunting around.
The first suggestion for the very best Father’s Day gift that I have is updated family portraits. You know I’m a photographer and think portraits are so so important. But also, when was the last time you had pictures taken as a family? Likely your wedding. Hire a local photographer and schedule some family portraits. This will be the most expensive option of those I will give you but it is a gift that keeps giving back. Head over to www.agapebyamanda.com to find out about the super fun Sunflower Mini Sessions for the end of June/beginning of July which would be a perfect gift option.
My second gift idea is a custom recipe book. My dad has always loved to cook, but even more so now that he is retired. He has so many family recipes written on index cards that are deteriorating more and more by the day. I typed up every recipe, found a super great template on Etsy and created a family recipe book. This option is by far the most time consuming! However, a lot of us have a lot more free time right now so this may be something to consider.
My 3rd gift idea is for all of you who love personalized gifts. Joe from Groovy Guy Gifts created a great list of the top 100 personalized gifts for 2020. Living in the South, I love everything monogrammed. I’ve received several of the gifts on their list in the past and love them all! The personalized cuff links, money clips and leather products are all great options. I really love the monogrammed bags. If you want a reaction like the one from my dad above, be sure to check out the most cost effective item on my gift guide!
I hope this helps you get creative with your Father’s Day gift ideas!
